Former Dallas NAACP President Juanita Wallace dies

Juanita Wallace, the former president of the Dallas chapter of NAACP, has died. The 70-year-old activist died Sunday from cancer, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. Wallace, a retired Dallas ISD educator, led the local NAACP group for six years. She resigned in 2014. “You have earned your rest, freedom fighter!”
