Pasadena NAACP serves city manager, police chief with body camera lawsuit during city meeting

An attorney representing the Pasadena Chapter of the NAACP served Pasadena City Manager Steve Mermell and Police Chief Phillip Sanchez with a lawsuit Monday, alleging the city improperly developed its policy on body cameras. The petition served during the public comment portion of the Public Safety Committee accuses the city of using a “bait-and-switch” application to get funding from the Department of Justice.
